So this morning I got an email in my inbox saying I have 20 new followers for my blog! I haven't written anything in the past 2 years, so I don't think I believe this....but I am inspired to send out some messages to the people in the world!! I am going to try this out!

Today's Thought March 11, 2010
Hey All,
So I have been tweeking a lot of things this week. The first being a new pair of workout capri's. Looking good while working out makes a big difference. You want to get out there and have people see you, and you like looking at yourself when you look good. I found a pair of cute Addidas capri's at Costco, they usually always have something to workout in when I go there. Plus I got them in black, which helps with slimming for the eye, and it goes with everything!!
I also started tweeking my calorie intake. I have been using my livestrong.com website, and wanted to get more from my food intake. I previously had a higher calorie intake alloted, and dropped it to help make this weight loss a for sure thing. Previosly I had a higher calorie intake, and it made it EASY to make it through the day with enough food to not feel hungry. Which I think was good to get started tracking my foods, and feeling accomplished by not going over, and tracking HONESTLY.
I have since cut back about 300 calories. Yesterday was the second day, and I made it almost easily. I didn't feel hungry...but the mind was thinking "hey, this is kinda scary!" I just kept going back to my vision board and thinking, "okay, I want to be 15lbs lighter. Why??? Because I want to look and feel amazing in my bathing suite when Im in Kauai for T's wedding, and then at Memorial Day for the annual camping trip!" It then goes right into my trip to South Africa.
All of these events I have mentioned have something to do with photo's taken of me, to remember for my lifetime. I came back from Antarctica thinking, well I'm sure glad that we got to wear all that gear to stay warm, cause otherwise I wouldn't want to look at the pics.
SO this year, 2010, I am going to get fit, and look great. I want to be proud of my pics, and more importantly, of myself! I want to feel as amazing as I think I am!!!
So, I leave you today with a few thoughts:
1. Track your calories
2. Re-evaluate your calorie intake as needed, make sure you are at the right number
3. Remind yourself why you are doing this
4. Start exercising with interval training in your workouts
a. this means twice a week or so, do a cardio event that you alternate sprinting (or speeding up) every so often. Walk for 2 mins, sprint for 1 min. Do this for the 30mins you are working out...the weight will start falling off if you are eating right!
Love you guys!!
Thank you for the support and continue with all the wonderful suggestions for recipes and workout ideas!!!

Beg of March Update on Fitness
Hey Everyone! So for a little while there I had been weighing myself, and the scale kept going up ;(...I was doing P90x and then insanity (not both at the same time) and I was not doing any food calorie diary...I thought that if I was working out in the extremes that would take care of my calorie consumption! Boy was I wrong!!!
So for the last two to three weeks I have been avoiding the scale. It has not been my friend.
Since then I have been using Livestrong.com for my daily calorie consumption and fitness tracking. I have felt very good inside both mentally and physically, and thought that I was loosing weight. My clothes started to fit a little bit better, but most of I felt like I was in control.
So today I got on my scale, and wow....I've lost 3 lbs!!!
In addition to the website, I have made a vision board...which I will post of pic of. It motivates me to be that person that I deep down inside want to be.
So today I weighed in at 165.4. My goal is to be at 150 by May. I am doubting that this is going to happen, but at the same time I am super dedicated to doing it.
I threw out the lingering birthday cakes....no more temptation there! And just really focusing hard on what it is that I really want and how I want to look and feel.
Most importantly, I want to thank my community of friends and family for your support and information.
Laura and Tracy went for a walk with me. Laura has been sending me wonderful emails about tips for weight loss. Michelle has buddied my on livestrong.com. Lindsey and I worked out together multiple times while I visited her in Washington DC...which was a huge catalyst for my motivation. Taryn has sent me inspirational emails for working out. Paula has joined Jenny Craig, and that motivates me :) My dad is interested in loosing weight as well. So thank you ladies for being there for me, and keep it up!!! Dear has sent me smoothie recipes.
If there is anyone that I missed....please come forward and let me know!! I apologize for forgetting you :)
I want to live this life time having fun, excitement and adventure fill my world!!

My Diet/Fitness Community
I need help today. I am working on getting into a certain shape with my body! I'm not making it on my own. I am having a hard time doing different things at different times during the days.
This is Jackie Warner, and this picture/cover the Fitness RX magazine hangs on my vision board that I have in my bedroom.
This is what I will look like!!!!
Where I need the help is in my community. I need each and everyone of you to help keep me accountable for my working out and eating right!! So that means:
- check in with me to see where I am at
- be strong with me if I am not on track
- tell me straight if I am not doing what I say I want to
- Help me make good choices in food when you are with me
- Come work out with me
- Be one of my Livestrong.com buddies
- Come up with another way to help me get here!!!
I don't want to be ordinary...I want to be EXTRAORDINARY!!!
You can too :)
Thank you,
Tat

Update 1
So now that I have announced my project to the Universe and family and friends, and even some people I don't know, but started sharing with.......
I have already raised over $600.00 for my project, and it really hasn't started (technically).
I have everyone's name, and told them that when I get my website up (purchased the domain yesterday 1-29-10) mydollarproject.com
that I will put their name on the page, with their donation.
Also, I have received a t-shirt from Melissa, that I will wear while I am in South Africa as a sort of sponsorship from her and the company she works for. Thank you Melissa and all the others that have given me a dollar for my trip!!
I will be gone for three weeks, starting in June 2010, and will return just before the 4th of July.
So if you read this, and would like to join in...please do!!!
Thank you for reading,
Tatiana

My Dollar Project
Hi Everyone!
I have a great new project that I am working on, called My Dollar Project.
I love to travel, and recently was so lucky to get to travel to Antarctica and Argentina. This was continent number 4 and 5 for me.
I had gone on the trip with a girl who is a friend of a friend, only meeting her once just prior to the trip. We both like to travel, and had hoped that we would get along!!
Well, of course we ended up becoming travel buddies, and hitting it off!! Over the course of the trip to Argentina and Antarctica we talked about everything. She had told me that she had a ticket to the World Cup in South Africa for this summer, and that she was going to go. I thought nothing of it.
Let's back up for a bit here. I left on the trip on Jan 1, 2010. December 29th I got laid off from my job. I was going on a three week vacation, and they were not going to have any more work for me when I got back!!!
So when I left for my trip I was only thinking about the trip, and then when I got back I would find a new job...I had three weeks to think about my life, and the direction that I wanted to take it!!
So back to the project. When we returned home from the trip, my new travel buddy sends me an email and says that she is really lucky to have gotten such a great travel buddy. That's it, I passed the test! And then she tells me that she has an extra ticket to the World Cup in June in South Africa, and she would like me to go with her!!!
OMG!
Not only would this be continent number 6 for me, but I grew up playing soccer. I have never been to a soccer event at the World Cup magnitude! I have never been to South Africa!!!
I told her that I would go, then looked at the airline prices to fly to Johannesburg....OMG $2,500.00 to fly.
I thought to myself, okay let's think about this for a minute...you have been laid off..you cannot afford this trip. Then I thought to myself, if you don't try you will never know if you can get there..throw your hat over the fence and figure out a way to go get it!!!
I let her know that I would be going, no matter what!! If I had to ask 2,500 people for a dollar each, I would be there!!!
I left it at that, or so I thought.
My mom came to town for a visit, and we were having a coffee outside on a Monday. A bum came up to us and asked my mom for a dollar. She didn't have any cash on her.
A light bulb came on in my head, and I thought, if that bum can ask for a dollar.....so can I!
This now leads me to my project (finally!!). I wanted to find out how many people you have to ask for a dollar to make up $2,500. If you ask 10 people and only 5 give you a dollar, or is it more of a one for one. Do people carry cash???
It's only a dollar...think about how many times you've thought that.
The dollar store, where everything starts to look good, because it's only a dollar.
Well, I am going to be asking for only a dollar. I am going to be using this money to get to South Africa, for continent number 6. I will be leaving on June 11, 2010.
I am in the process of making a website, mydollarproject.com.
Thank you for reading.
